Liverpool youngster Cameron Brannagan has signed a new contract, sources have told ESPN FC.

Brannagan, 19, made his first-team debut when he came off the bench in the 1-1 Europa League draw in Bordeaux last month.

The midfielder is highly rated at Anfield and was on the fringes of the first team last season, being named on the bench for three Premier League games and cup ties against Beskitas and Blackburn.

He is the captain of Liverpool's under-21 side and has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances.

Brannagan's current deal expired at the end of this season, and he had been the subject of enquiries from several Football League clubs about a loan move.

He will be hoping to get the chance to establish himself in the Liverpool side under new boss Jurgen Klopp.
