Jordan Henderson ruled out for Liverpool with broken foot - reports

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has broken a bone in his right foot during training and will be out for up to eight weeks, Press Association Sport reports.

Henderson, 25, had just returned to training after travelling to the United States for treatment on a troublesome heel injury.

The midfielder has not featured for Liverpool since August and had been expected to return to the side when the club host Norwich City on Sunday.

However, it is reported the Reds captain suffered a foot injury in training which scans have since confirmed he will have to undergo surgery on his right metatarsal.

Henderson is set to be sidelined for around two months, meaning he will miss key matches against Everton on Oct. 4, Chelsea on Oct. 31 while he faces a race against time to be fit for the meeting with Manchester City on Nov. 21.
