Dani Pacheco leaves Reds for Alcorcon

Liverpool have confirmed the departure of forward Dani Pacheco on a free transfer to Segunda Division club AD Alcorcon.

Pacheco, 22, moved to Merseyside in the summer of 2007, having previously been part of the youth set-up at Barcelona.

The Spain Under-21 international made his Liverpool debut in December 2009, and went on to play 17 times for the club.

He had a short spell on loan at Norwich in the spring of 2011, helping the Canaries secure promotion from the Championship.

Pacheco also went on to have loan stints in his homeland with Rayo Vallecano and Huesca.

He wrote on Twitter: “I'm proud to announce that I'm joining AD Alcoron permanently. I want to say massive thanks to LFC for all they gave me in six years.

"I will always be a red. It's been my house and I will never forget it. Thanks to all you fans for the support and hope we celebrate the premier league this season. YNWA [You’ll Never Walk Alone].”

Liverpool confirmed the news on their Twitter feed, stating: “Good luck to Dani Pacheco, who has today left Liverpool to join AD Alcorcon in Spain.”
