Club Tijuana forward Aviles Hurtado would prefer to wear the shirt of his native Colombia over that of his adopted homeland Mexico. The 29-year-old said he is in the best form of his life at present and scored an overhead kick last Saturday against Atlas that made headlines all over the world, but hasn't had any contact from the Mexico national team. If El Tri coach Juan Carlos Osorio, Hurtado's former coach at Atletico Nacional, did call to persuade him, the former Chiapas player said he would have to think about it. "[A call from El Tri] would make me proud for everything that Mexico has given me," Hurtado told ESPN. "But I've always said that my dream is to wear the Colombia shirt; it's always been dear to me. "If the possibility [to play for Mexico] comes up, I'll analyze the situation in order to take the best decision." Hurtado arrived in Mexico at Pachuca in December 2012 and would only be available for El Tri after completing five years in the country, in accordance with FIFA's residency rules, meaning he'd be available for Mexico's games in early 2018.
