Islam Slimani and Leonardo Ulloa to miss Millwall clash - Claudio Ranieri

Leicester City's record signing Islam Slimani will miss the FA Cup trip to Millwall because of injury.

The £30 million forward is out with a groin problem and Claudio Ranieri suggested the Algeria international, who has six goals in 18 appearances this term, could even miss Wednesday's Champions League round-of-16 first leg tie at Sevilla.

"[Slimani] feels something in his groin and we are waiting for him. For this match he is not available," Ranieri said.

The former Chelsea manager added that Leonardo Ulloa is also likely to sit out the FA Cup game with a thigh problem.

He said: "[Ulloa] started to train but bit properly because always feels something. Today he didn't finish the session and then we have to wait to see him back. I can't tell you something until the medical staff tell me he's 100 percent fit.''

Slimani was a second-half substitute in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Swansea, a game that left Leicester just a point above the relegation zone having lost five successive Premier League games and failed to score in their last six matches in the competition.

Their only wins in 2017 have come against Everton and Derby in the FA Cup and Ranieri knows the squad must remain united in their time of need.

"It's difficult to say what's right or wrong. For me it's important to stay close together with my players. We fought last season, fought this season, and will continue to fight mood will change," he said.

"Of course we have to improve a little everywhere -- just one percent in every area and then that becomes a lot of percents."
