Marc Albrighton described scoring Leicester's first ever Champions League goal as a dream come true.
The Foxes marked their entry into the competition with an emphatic 3-0 win away to Club Brugge, leaving them top of Group G after Porto and Copenhagen drew 1-1.
Albrighton opened the scoring when Luis Hernandez's long throw was poorly defended and he told BT Sport 2: "It's some feeling. It's something I never thought I'd achieve, but it's here and it feels just as good as I dreamt it."
Riyad Mahrez then scored the other two goals, the first a superb free kick and the second a penalty.
"We know he's capable of that," Albrighton said of the free kick. "He practises that every day in training and it's nice for him to get off the mark as well."
The goal echoed Mahrez's first of two in Algeria's 6-0 win over Lesotho 10 days ago and manager Claudio Ranieri said: "He tries to do something like that in every training session, also he scored in the international game with Algeria.
"It was important for him to take confidence and [build on] last season."
Reflecting on the game as a whole, Ranieri added: "It was an important win for us, after the Liverpool defeat. I enjoyed it much better than Saturday!"
