Leicester City can have no regrets in Premier League title run - Ranieri

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri says his side can have no regrets as they push for an historic Premier League title.

The Foxes inched closer to making their title dream a reality on Sunday, thrashing Swansea City 4-0 at the King Power Stadium to go eight points clear of Tottenham, who are yet to play.

With Leicester needing just five points to claim Prem glory, the Italian told his news conference he wants to see his team stay focused for the all-important run-in.

"I am positive, but it's still not easy because in my mind Tottenham will win all their matches," Ranieri said.

"When I saw my players training during the week, I was happy as they trained very well. Without Jamie, my players gave a little more so well done.

"I told them before the match: 'We have a dream so far, now make the dream a reality.'

"Now is the time to push everything. We can have no regrets."

They breezed past Swansea without the banned Jamie Vardy and Ranieri was proud they answered the doubters, which included two goals from Leonardo Ulloa.

Ranieri said: "It's important because everyone wanted to see our answer without Jamie Vardy and that was a fantastic answer in my opinion.

"I am very, very pleased with Leonardo, he scored twice, I am very pleased with [Jeff] Schlupp and all of my players. Leonardo made a fantastic performance, he jumped, he scored two goals, he attacked, he defended. Well done."

Riyad Mahrez, who scored Leicester's opener on Sunday, hailed his side's complete performance, saying: "In this team we don't need just one player -- we're all together, we have team spirit and we work together.

"Sometimes I have to score, or Vards, or Leo [Ulloa, who scored twice on Sunday], but it's all about the team.

"We needed this win. We just focus on ourselves - we have everything in our hands."
