Former Leicester City striker and current coach Kevin Phillips has been hailed as a great influence by striker Chris Wood.
New Zealand international Wood, 22, credited his 86th minute equaliser in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Everton to the coaching knowledge that Phillips brought to the club.
"The ball just popped out nicely. It was one of those finishes I've been working on with Kev, so it was a lovely start," he told the Leicester Mercury.
"Kev was a great player, we all know that, and he has been working with us a lot over preseason."
During a playing career that lasted two decades, Phillips netted almost 300 goals for 10 clubs.
