Jurgen Klopp vows to keep fighting after Dortmund lose at home again

"We were in the decisive moments once again, but were not consistent enough. The popular explanations do not apply."

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp vowed to keep fighting after Saturday's 1-0 loss to Hannover extended their Bundesliga winless skid to six games.

The defeat was their third loss at home of the campaign, and Klopp admitted his players have failed to convert their chances to score.

"We will continue to fight. There is no alternative," Klopp said after the game. "We had four or five great chances, but nothing made of it. We need to reward ourselves, but we're not doing that."

Dortmund have earned just one point from their past six, and have not won in the Bundesliga since Sept. 13.

"We were in the decisive moments once again, but were not consistent enough. The popular explanations do not apply."

Defender Mats Hummels was equally at a loss for a solution to Dortmund's problems.

"It's becoming difficult to find an explanation," Hummels said. "It's no use talking about an undeserved defeat against Hannover, that won't get us anywhere.

"We had many, many chances to make it 1-0, but we didn't manage to do that. Our opponents then score with their first or second shot at goal.

"It's very tough at the moment. Everything that can go wrong is going wrong in the Bundesliga."

Midfielder Marco Reus reamined optimistic, saying: "We've got to keep a cool head and regroup ahead of our next game."
