Juventus, Valencia bid for Manchester United's Javier Hernandez

Juventus and Valencia have submitted offers for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

- Pirlo ruled out for a month
- Injured Fellaini set for Man Utd stay
- Mitten: United fans miss out on Europe

The Mexican is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and a source told ESPN that his four-year United career may have reached an end.

Hernandez is only the fourth-choice striker under new manager Louis van Gaal and his appearance in Tuesday's 4-0 Capital One Cup defeat to MK Dons could be his last in a United shirt.

The forward will reportedly cost around 12 million pounds and Juventus, who can offer him first-team football, are the favourites to sign the 26-year-old.

It remains to be seen if United will raise the subject of Arturo Vidal, who interests them, in negotiations for Hernandez.

Hernandez signed for United for 6.9 million pounds in 2010 and was named the club's Player of the Year in his debut campaign at Old Trafford, when he scored 20 goals.

He has gone on to strike 59 times in 153 appearances for United but was only granted six league starts last season.

Javier Hernandez has found starts hard to come by in the past couple of seasons.

His departure could form part of an exodus from Old Trafford with Crystal Palace trying to take Wilfried Zaha on loan and Shinji Kagawa's future also the subject of speculation.

Juventus have already signed one striker this summer, with Alvaro Morata arriving from Real Madrid, while their other forward options include former United attacker Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Sebastian Giovinco.

United have already sold one player to Juventus this summer with Patrice Evra moving to Turin.
