Olivier Giroud is set to be on the sidelines for the next three months after scans revealed he broke a bone his foot against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday, according to a report in France. L'Equipe are reporting that the results of the scan on Giroud's foot have come back with the news Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger feared, sparking speculation that he may now be forced to dip into the transfer market to bolster his forward line. If the reports of his foot injury are confirmed, those plans may have to be amended, with Arsenal's injury issues arising yet again a couple of weeks into the new season. Giroud's injury may force Wenger to consider a move for Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, even though he turned down the chance to sign the Frenchman earlier this summer.
