Bayern Munich honorary president Franz Beckenbauer has said he would love to see Marco Reus at the club and described him as a potential "steal," in comments likely to further aggravate Borussia Dortmund.

The relationship between Dortmund and Bayern has grown increasingly frosty in recent weeks, with the latter publicly stating their interest in Reus, as well as revealing that he has a release clause -- reportedly 25 million euros --- in his contract.
Dortmund are hopeful of removing the clause in a bid to stave off interest in the Germany international. Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with Reus, who has said that he feels great in his hometown but has kept quiet about his future in recent weeks.
BVB have accused Bayern of trying to bring unrest to the club, but Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge laughed off the spat on Thursday, telling Munchener Merkur that he finds it "quite amusing".
Beckenbauer claimed earlier this week that Dortmund will find it very difficult to keep Reus beyond 2015, and has now stated his belief that the 25-year-old would be a good addition for Bayern.
"Marco Reus is a versatile player, who can play every position in attack. I would love to see him at FC Bayern, but that's for those responsible to sort out," he told Sky.
Beckenbauer added that the reported 25-million-euro release clause leaves Bayern no other option than to go after Reus, with the Bayern chief saying: "Looking at other transfer sums that are floating around, that's a steal.
"They [Dortmund] fight back tooth and nail. But that's the business, if you can get the best players then you have to get them."
