Diego Lopez agent denies Napoli link

The agent of Diego Lopez has denied that the Real Madrid goalkeeper will move to Napoli if Keylor Navas completes his expected move to the Bernabeu.

- Brassell: Pepe on borrowed time at Real
- Laurens: Monaco must cash in on James
- Rigg: Kroos can be Madrid's new maestro

Lopez, 32, played 36 La Liga games for Madrid last season, keeping club captain Iker Casillas out of the team in the process.

However, the imminent arrival of Costa Rica World Cup star Navas has doubt over his future, with Napoli mooted as a potential destination should he decide to move on.

That is not going to happen, though, according to Lopez's agent Manuel Garcia Quillon, who told Marca: "Napoli have not asked about Diego but he will not go anywhere.

"He wants to be a starter next season and like in previous years, he is working to achieve that. He wants to convince (Real Madrid coach Carlo) Ancelotti that he is still the Real Madrid No. 1.''

Although Lopez -- a 2013 signing from Sevilla -- was a mainstay for Madrid in the Primera Division last season, Casillas was preferred in the cup competitions -- playing every game as Los Blancos won the Champions League and Copa del Rey.
