Dejan Lovren begins Saints preseason

Liverpool target Dejan Lovren has joined Southampton for their preseason tour of Belgium.

Lovren, 25, handed in a transfer request and told the club his "head is already at Liverpool" following interest from the Premier League runners-up in the Croatia international.

The player claimed Liverpool had made a bid of 20 million pounds that he had not been informed about and expressed an interest in moving to Anfield.

However, speaking to the media for the first time since his appointment this summer, new Southampton manager Ronald Koeman ordered Lovren to return to training on Saturday and told the player he will not be sold.

Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert have already moved from Southampton to Liverpool this summer.

The Reds have also signed Emre Can and are expected to make further additions to their squad once the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona is complete.
