Tony Hibbert pens new Everton deal

Tony Hibbert is a product of Everton's youth academy.

Tony Hibbert has signed a new two-year contract with Everton.

Martinez: Barry 'perfect' for Everton

Hibbert, 33, had come to the end of his existing deal but will now remain at Goodison Park until 2016.

The Toffees confirmed the news on Tuesday night via their official Twitter account, with Hibbert following in the footsteps of fellow right-back Seamus Coleman who signed a new contract last week.

Hibbert, who was born in Merseyside, has been with Everton all his life, having come through the club's youth ranks.

Meanwhile, youngster Conor McAleny has also penned a new deal with the club, signing until 2015.

McAleny, 21, who joined the club at the age of 11, is looking forward to trying to break into the first team, having spent much of last season out injured.

"I want to get as close as I can to the first team, make some appearances and hopefully chip in with a few goals if possible," the striker told the club's official website. "Preseason is where you can impress the manager and get off to a good start, which will always help for later on.

"I've been cracking on for about three weeks now and I'm feeling really fit and can't wait to get going. Hopefully the injuries are behind me now and I can start pushing on."
