The Ghana Football Association has confirmed it called in police after being linked to match-fixing in a British media undercover sting, while the organisation's president has denied the allegations.

Ghana's governing body said in a statement on Sunday that it has asked police to ''investigate two persons for misrepresenting the GFA with an attempt to defraud.''
Broadcaster Channel 4 and the Daily Telegraph reported the allegations a day after Ghana's thrilling 2-2 draw with Germany at the World Cup.
They allege a FIFA-licensed match agent and Ghana club chief executive offered to arrange for friendlies involving the national team to be fixed.
"It has now emerged, following approaches to the GFA from two media houses in England, that Messrs Christopher Anton Forsythe and Obed Nketiah were covertly filmed by a media institution for a documentary on match fixing," the GFA statement read.
"According to the queries from the media, the draft contract sent included a clause that the appointment of referees would be held by the company which sought to buy the rights for the Black Stars friendlies.
"The two were also allegedly filmed claiming that they would bribe GFA officials to ensure that the contract is signed.
"We wish to state that the GFA did not sign the contract as we waited for the response from the Legal Committee and that the two gentlemen did not make such corrupt offers to the GFA or its officials."
The statement went on to add that world governing body FIFA and the Confederation of African Football had also been informed of the allegations.
In a further statement on Monday, GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi vehemently denied the claims.
"The report of the newspaper or the media house is entirely not accurate," Nyantakyi said.
"There is a representation of half-truths and half-lies. It's not true that we have agreed with match fixers or people who intend to organize matches of convenience between the Black Stars and any opponent in the future.
Ghana face Portugal in their final Group G match on Thursday, needing a victory in Brasilia and there to be a winner in the game between Germany and the U.S. to have a chance of qualifying for the round of 16.
