Mexican Rodriguez to ref Italy-Uruguay

Uruguay train at Arena do Jacare after their victory over England. Diego Godin talks about the importance of striker Luis Suarez and looks forward to the deciding Group D fixture against Italy.

Mexican referee Marco Rodriquez has been selected by FIFA to officiate the crucial clash between Italy and Uruguay, which will decide who progresses to the round of 16.

- Jose Mourinho: Luis Suarez is amazing
- Horncastle: Italy's worst fears realised
- Media: Italy 'baked and eaten' by Costa Rica

Italy, who would go through as runners-up to Costa Rica with a point in Natal on Tuesday, have been hit by news that midfielder Daniele De Rossi is almost certain to be ruled out with a muscle injury.

The group's other game, between Costa Rica and already-eliminated England in Natal, will be refereed by Djamel Haimoudi, of Algeria.

Tuesday's Group C game between leaders Colombia and Japan in Cuiaba will be officiated by Pedro Proenca of Portugal, while Ecuador's Carlos Vera takes charge of Ivory Coast vs. Greece in Fortaleza.
