Real Madrid are interested in signing Benfica goalkeeper Jan Oblak, according to the Slovakia international's agent.

Oblak, 21, burst to prominence with some excellent displays last season as the Eagles won the Portuguese Treble and also reached the Europa League final.

Speculation continues to build around the Madrid goalkeeping position ahead of the 2013-14 campaign, with last term's rotation of club captain Iker Casillas and Diego Lopez not seen as a sustainable long-term plan.

Both goalkeepers are under contract until 2017 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, although Casillas has reportedly attracted interest from Arsenal, despite high-profile mistakes in the Champions League final and Spain's 5-1 World Cup defeat to Netherlands.

AC Milan, meanwhile, have long been linked with a move for Lopez, with Napoli also having apparently joined the race for his signature.

This means Madrid could be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, and Oblak's representative Miha Mlakar told AS that both Los Blancos and rivals Atletico Madrid are considering moves for his client.

"There has been an initial contact from Madrid," Mlakar said. "Both Madrid and Atletico [are interested]. The summer transfer window is very long and lasts until Aug. 31."

AS reports Serie A champions Juventus are also considering signing Oblak as a long-term replacement for Gianluigi Buffon, but that Benfica favour Madrid's offer as the player would be allowed to remain in Portugal on loan for two seasons.
