Morton are again without Jordan Allan and striker Andrew Barrowman as they play Berwick at Cappielow in a cup competition for the second time this season.
Allan serves a suspension and Barrowman is troubled with a hamstring problem for Jim Duffy's men.
The Greenock side won the Scottish League Cup tie between the sides, but Duffy is warning his players that counts for nothing now.
Duffy explained: "We have to go out and treat this as a new game. Just because we won the first game does not mean we will go out and win the second one.
"We have taken confidence from defeating Stranraer 4-0 at the weekend and will look to build on that."
Berwick are without Ross Gray, who has a knee injury, and Scott Dalziel (ankle) as they look to gain revenge for their defeat earlier this month from their hosts.
Player-manager Colin Cameron said: "In the last game we battled back from a goal down and got level.
"However, we lost our concentration and fell behind again for a second time but hopefully we have learned from that.
"We showed resilience against East Fife on Saturday as we lost a two-goal lead but battled back to win. We need that level of resilience again at Morton."
