Paderborn picked up their first-ever Bundesliga win in style to heap the pressure on Hamburg coach Mirko Slomka after just two games of the season as the away side triumphed 3-0 at the HSV-Arena.

Elias Kachunga, Mario Vrancic and Moritz Stoppelkamp were all on target for the Bundesliga newcomers against the only side never to have been relegated from the top flight.

The East Westphalian minnows also had a goal ruled out for a marginal offside decision and could have embarrassed Hamburg even more with their fearless attacking football which looks like it could take them a long way in the top flight of German football.

Stoppelkamp sent in an early warning for Rene Adler before hitting the rebound over the crossbar from close range as Paderborn showed the same confidence they had expressed in their 2-2 draw with Mainz last weekend.

It was not long before their brazen attacking football was rewarded with Kachunga turning the ball in after Suleyman Koc's shot was only parried by Adler.

Kachunga had the ball in the back of the net again soon after, but he was unable to celebrate a third Bundesliga goal as the linesman's flag was raised.

Hamburg had chances to level with Artjoms Rudnevs, on the field for the injured Rafael van der Vaart, and Pierre-Michel Lasogga both missing from close range, but Paderborn did not stop attacking.

Hamburg's woes worsened in the 69th minute when Vrancic intercepted a poor defensive pass by Rudnevs to bear down on Adler, skipping past the German goalkeeper before scoring into the open goal.

Hamburg's miserable day was then completed in the 87th minute by Stoppelkamp, who had worked under Slomka at Hannover and was sold to 1860 Munich by the current Hamburg coach.

His excellent first touch set him up to sweep the ball past a forlorn Adler to seal the East Westphalians' first-ever top-flight victory against a side who very nearly exchanged places with them at the end of last season, and clearly have a lot of work to do to ensure they do not go down this time around.
