Le Havre to wear black shirts after death of defender Samba Diop

French second-division club Le Havre will wear a black shirt for their next two games in remembrance of defender Samba Diop, who died on Friday.

The club's Ligue 2 game against Reims was called off after it emerged Diop, 18, died overnight.

Diop had been due to make the step up from the reserve team to the first team this summer. There has yet been no indication of the circumstances of Diop's death.

In tribute, Le Havre will wear black shirts with "Samba" on the back for Friday's game behind closed doors against Gazelec Ajaccio and again when they face Nancy on April 24.
