Lazio's Felipe Anderson and Wesley Hoedt in training scuffle - report

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi brought a premature end to his side's training session on Thursday after Felipe Anderson and Wesley Hoedt were reportedly involved in a heated exchange.

A foul by Felipe Anderson on the defender towards the end of the session at Lazio's summer training camp in Auronzo di Cadore sparked a reaction which led to the midfielder obtaining a cut to his lower lip, which he showed to his followers in a story on Instagram -- captured by Gazzetta dello Sport.

Stefan Radu and Senad Lulic are reported to have intervened to separate the pair, with Inzaghi sending the whole squad back to the dressing room immediately after.

Earlier, Inzaghi had received a visit from his brother Filippo, who is currently coach of Serie B side Venezia, and their father Giancarlo.

"I enjoyed seeing the seriousness and effort shown by the Biancocelesti players in these first few days of preseason," Giancarlo told Lazio Style Radio. "I also noted the dedication with which the coaching staff have been leading training.

"I enjoy visiting Lazio in preseason. I've always followed them. I hope that this squad can follow the one from last season, when they were fantastic -- compliments to them."

Lazio finished fifth in Serie A last season, qualifying for the Europa League at the end of Inzaghi's first full campaign in charge.
