The LA Galaxy announced on Monday that they have re-signed midfielder Emmanuel Boateng.

Terms were not disclosed.

Boateng has played in 87 matches over the past three seasons with the Galaxy. He has eight goals and 12 assists.

"We are excited that Ema will be returning to LA Galaxy," general manager Dennis te Kloese said in a news release. "Ema is a talented young player who brings excitement and depth to our roster. We look forward to his continued development as a player and future contributions to our team."

Boateng had two goals and five assists in 26 matches (17 starts) last season.

The 24-year-old Boateng scored a career-high four goals in 2017.
