Gor Mahia, Tusker, Leopards want me, says Bandari's Abdallah Hassan

Kenya Premier League top guns Gor Mahia, Tusker FC and AFC Leopards are all interested in signing Bandari FC hotshot Abdallah Hassan, the forward has told KweséESPN.

Hassan has been a revelation for Bandari this season and made his debut for the national team during last week's friendly against Malawi.

He came on as a second-half substitute and set up Francis Kahata for the winning goal.

"There's interest from other clubs," the forward said after Bandari's league game against Zoo Kericho this weekend. "Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards and Tusker have all contacted me over a transfer.

"This makes me happy because it means that I have been performing well."

The speedy forward, who can play on either wing or as a right-back, where he was deployed last season, has scored two goals and set up nine others so far this season

He's already one of the most sought-after players in the Kenyan Premier League, but the former Posta Rangers youth team captain isn't keen on a domestic move.

The forward has subsequently set his sights on moving abroad.

"My dream is to play in Europe," he continued. "I wouldn't want to join another local club.

"Bandari has helped shape my career and I wouldn't play against Bandari in the Kenyan Premier League,' he continued. "For now, I am a Bandari player and I am committed to the club, we will see what happens at the end of the season."

Bandari coach Bernard Mwalala acknowledges that it would be a struggle to keep hold of the 22-year-old when the transfer window opens.

"I am aware that several clubs have already approached him," the coach began. "After such a good season you expect interest from other clubs, but I feel that he's not ready for a move yet.

"This has been his breakthrough season, and it will be important for him to continue with his growth by playing here for at least one more season," he added. "He needs to keep improving by playing more and here he's assured of playtime."

The young attacker also confided to KweséESPN they he considers Harambee Stars teammate Michael Olunga as a role model.

"Olunga is a role model to me," he concluded. "I spoke to him while we were in the Harambee Stars camp and he encouraged me to keep working hard.

"I want to follow in his footsteps and succeed as a player."
