Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo arrives for first training session with new club

Cristiano Ronaldo arrived for his first training session as a Juventus player on Monday.

The 33-year-old landed in Turin in his private jet with his family on Sunday evening and will be put through his paces for the first time, along with the other members of the Bianconeri squad who were involved in the knockout stages of the World Cup.

Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain, Juan Cuadrado, Douglas Costa and Rodrigo Bentancur were all expected to take part in the session led by Aldo Dolcetti, one of head coach Massimiliano Allegri's assistants, with the remainder of the first-team squad in the United States.

Dolcetti, together with a fitness coach, has returned to Turin from the States to train the small group of players who will be remaining in Italy.

Higuain, along with his brother and agent, Nicolas, had reportedly been in Milan earlier for talks over a move to AC Milan.

The entire Juve squad should train together in Turin on Aug. 8, ahead of Ronaldo's first outing in a black-and-white striped shirt four days later, in the Serie A club's traditional season-opener at Villar Perosa -- a friendly between the first team and reserves.

A week later, Ronaldo is set to make his Serie A debut at Chievo as Juve begin their search for a record eighth straight Scudetto. His debut at the Allianz Stadium could come seven days later when Lazio pay Piedmont a visit.
