Massimiliano Allegri: Disorganised Juventus were 'horrible' in first half

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri said his side had "played a horrible first half" as they missed the chance to seal Champions League qualification at Sporting Lisbon.

A win would have seen Juve through to the knockout stages but they were held to a 1-1 draw in Portugal.

Allegri was not happy with the overall performance of his team, who now need to beat Barcelona in Turin to secure qualification, which could otherwise go down to their last game at Olympiakos.

"I'm sorry we've only drawn because we had the chance to seal our qualification but we didn't do it," the coach told Mediaset.

"It was all quite simple, really -- we had to win here to go through.

"We played a horrible first half and were too confused. We should have been better organised, even if we went behind. Let's just save the result, which is the only thing worth saving.

"We can still qualify, first against Barcelona and then in Athens, which could be a hell of an atmosphere. But now we've got to think of the league."

Juve host Barca on Nov. 22 and will qualify if they match or better Sporting's result against Olympiakos.
