Alvaro Morata keen to stay at Juventus and link up with Dani Alves

Alvaro Morata hopes he has not played his last game for Juventus as he looks forward to lining up with Dani Alves at the Bianconeri next season.

Morata's future remains shrouded in uncertainty due to a clause in the contract he signed with Juve two summers ago, which allows his former club Real Madrid to buy him back for a pre-agreed sum.

Madrid have yet to make use of that option, but were they to come in with the right offer Juve's hands would be tied, even if the striker, who has also been linked with Arsenal, now appears to be keen on staying in Turin.

"I don't have any idea when my future will be decided, but at the end of the day I'm not in any rush because I've got a contract with one of the best clubs in the world," Morata is quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.

"It's obvious that I don't want to go and play for a club I don't want to play for. I've got a contract with Juventus and I can have a say, but in the end it depends on the two clubs.

"I've not spoken with [Zinedine] Zidane since he became Real Madrid coach. We did speak in the past, and he does really like me, but we talked about life and about football."

The growing speculation that Dani Alves, who is leaving Barcelona this summer, is set to join Juve may have given Morata further reason to stay in Turin.

"I'd love to have him as a teammate," Morata said. "We've met plenty of times on holiday and he's always been very friendly with me. He's one of the best in the world in his position and it would be incredible to have him in the same team."
