Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is set to sign a new contract with the defending Serie A champions sometime this week, he revealed on Sunday. Allegri delivered the Turin club their fourth straight league title last season in his first year in charge at Juventus Stadium. And his side's 2-1 defeat of Fiorentina on Sunday virtually assured a second straight at the club for the former AC Milan boss. After the match, Allegri indicated he is now ready to commit to many more campaigns with the Old Lady. "Everyone said we were dead and buried," he said, referring to the criticism that his team drew when they kicked off their season with back-to-back defeats. "We've now bounced back with 24 wins from 25 games. We were a group... we have become a team." Speaking in Florence postmatch, quoted in the Gazzetta dello Sport, the head coach added: "My contract signing will happen later this week. "There will be a few days to wait as tomorrow is a holiday. I share the club's ideas and Juve are doing well and building for the future." On Juve's potential transfer market activities, Allegri promised to invest in youth while ensuring the club's best talent -- including the likes of France midfielder Paul Pogba -- is retained. He added: "Our ambitions for next season? I'm not sure how many new players we will buy but they will have to be young and possess great potential. "We want to keep Pogba here, for sure, as we have to believe we can go on to win the Champions League with players like him on board."
