Alessandro Del Piero: Juventus star Paul Pogba not yet a complete player

Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has said midfielder Paul Pogba is not yet a full all-round player and needs "a bit of time to grow."

Del Piero, who left Juventus in 2012, said there was pressure on the France international as the latest man to wear the club's famous No. 10 shirt.

Pogba took on the number following the departure of Carlos Tevez to Boca Juniors last summer, but struggled for form as Juve made a faltering start to the season in pursuit of a fourth consecutive Serie A title.

Del Piero told Sky Sport Italia: "When we think of the Juventus No. 10, we imagine a complete player.

"But today, Pogba isn't yet -- he's an atypical No. 10. You have to give him a bit of time to grow even more."

But he added that he believed Pogba, who was linked with a return to Manchester United last summer, and his teammates could yet make it to the Champions League final.

He said: "It must be said that at the moment Bayern [Munich] and Barcelona are unreachable -- but if they have a small decline, who knows?"
