Paul Pogba not interested in Real Madrid move, says agent Mino Raiola

Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has said the Juventus midfielder will not move to Real Madrid, claiming the Spanish giants "throw away" players.

Madrid are reported to be keen on making a move for Pogba in the summer, despite the 22-year-old having only recently signed a contract extension.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti is thought to be an admirer of the France international, but earlier this year played down speculation about an imminent bid.

Raiola told L'Equipe: "If that's the case, we're not interested in Real either. I have never gone to Madrid to tell them: 'Please, would you like to buy Pogba?'

"Real Madrid are a club that is used to buying players like you buy a facecloth -- and then throws them away like a facecloth."

ALL-TIME HIGHEST TRANSFER FEES

1) £85m Gareth Bale -- Tottenham to Real Madrid, Sept. 2013

2) £80m Cristiano Ronaldo -- Man Utd to R. Madrid, June 2009

3) £75m Luis Suarez -- Liverpool to Barcelona, July 2014

4) £71m James Rodriguez -- Monaco to Real Madrid, July 2014

5) £59.7m Angel Di Maria -- Real Madrid to Man Utd, Aug. 2014

6) £56m Kaka -- AC Milan to Real Madrid, June 2009

The agent suggested that Madrid's big-money purchase of James Rodriguez from Monaco last summer was representative of their approach to transfers.

"Real are a team that sees a player who has six good games at the World Cup and buys him," he said.

"We don't want to go to a club like that. We want to go to a club that believes in Paul's potential. I am not closing the door to Real, but I'm not opening it either."

He said Ancelotti had "told me personally that, in his opinion, Paul is among the best young players in the world."

Paris Saint-Germain are reported to be interested in moving for Pogba in the summer, with RMC reporting that president Nasser Al Khelaifi had recently met the Paris-born player and said he wanted to sign him.

Raiola said: "That means that they're perhaps interested, but I will start to think that from the moment there is something concrete.

"I just know that Paul, whichever club he'll be at, will succeed."

Earlier this week, Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta said: "There are many suitors for Pogba, but we do not want to open negotiations and we want him to stay with us."
