Sebastian Giovinco may leave Juventus for first-team football - agent

Sebastian Giovinco is considering his future due to the lack of opportunities he has received at Juventus, according to his agent.

Giovinco, 27, still finds himself behind Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente in the pecking order of the Juve attack, while Alvaro Morata and Kingsley Coman have also been given chances ahead of him this season, dropping him to fifth-choice.

It was a similar story last term for the forward, who despite being overlooked regularly by Antonio Conte while he was in charge of the Bianconeri, has been called into his first two squad selections since he became coach of Italy this summer.

Giovinco still needs to convince current Juve coach Massimo Allegri of his worth, while his agent Andrea D'Amico says his client also needs to be convinced he has a bright future in Turin.

"He's in good shape, but he's not playing very much," D'Amico told Mediaset television. "Obviously he's a bit disappointed about this. He's only played a few minutes and he's practically played more for Italy [than for Juve]. He wants to be able to do more for the cause."

Giovinco's best form in Italian football came during the two years he spent on loan with Parma -- he scored 22 goals for the Gialloblu, who were keen to hold onto him before he returned to Turin in 2012.

"He left to show his true worth and I don't think many people really need to be surprised when he plays so well," D'Amico added. "If there's a worthwhile project involving him here in Turin, then he will stay, otherwise we will evaluate other options. There are a lot of clubs interested in him."

One of those clubs is reported to be Arsenal, although Giovinco does not lack admirers in Italy, particularly Parma, where he made such a good impression and became a fans' favourite.

Giovinco's contract is up for renewal next summer and he will be free to walk away from Juve on a free transfer should new terms not be agreed. Should the club decide he no longer has a future in Turin, they may also consider a sale in January.
