Juventus are facing an anxious wait to hear whether Arturo Vidal has suffered any damage to his knee while on international duty with Chile.

Vidal, 27, was seen holding an ice bag against his knee with reports that he looked visibly uncomfortable during his national team's final training session ahead of their friendly with Mexico on Friday evening.

Media representatives were only able to watch the first 15 minutes of training and Vidal spent the whole time with ice on the knee which was operated on in May and nearly ruled him out of the World Cup.

The Chile midfielder was treading lightly during preseason for Juve due to concerns regarding the stability of his operated knee.

He did play 85 minutes of their opening day win at Chievo Verona, however, and showed no signs of discomfort during that appearance.

Reports in Chile say that Vidal received physiotherapy and treatment rather than being able to train with his teammates on Thursday.

He is now a serious doubt to face Mexico and Juve will be monitoring the situation closely as they host Udinese on Sept. 13, before beginning their Champions League campaign at home to Malmo three days later.
