Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci is suffering from flu and has missed a training session three days before the World Cup qualifier against Albania.
Juventus centre-back Bonucci was absent from Tuesday's morning session.
Italy are already without Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, who is recovering from injury.
Italy, level on points with Spain at the top of Group G, play Albania in Palermo on Friday.
They then travel to the Netherlands for a friendly on Tuesday.
