Juventus sell Rolando Mandragora to Udinese for €20 million

Juventus have announced the sale of Rolando Mandragora to Serie A rivals Udinese for €20 million, although they have inserted a buy-back clause in the deal.

The 21-year-old, who made his Italy debut in a 3-1 friendly defeat to world champions France in June, spent just two years at Juve, whom he joined from Genoa in 2016, making only one appearance in their first team.

He spent last season on loan at Crotone, with whom he made 36 appearances and scored two goals.

He has signed a four-year deal with Udinese but could return to Juventus after just two years in Fruli-Venezia Giulia.

"Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with Udinese Calcio S.p.A. for the definitive disposal of the registration rights of the player Rolando Mandragora has been finalized for a consideration of € 20 million to be paid in four financial years," read a statement from Juventus.

"The agreement also provides Juventus the option right, to be exercised at the end of 2019/2020 football season, for the definitive re-acquisition of the player at a price of € 26 million to be paid in two financial years.

"In case Udinese Calcio will definitively transfer the player to a third club before the expiring date of this option right, Juventus will be entitled to receive an indemnity of €200 thousand and a bonus equal to 50% of the amounts collected by Udinese for the definitive transfer above the sum of €20 million."
