Dybala hits two as Juve thrash Torino; Stephan El Shaarawy stars for Roma

Juventus players celebrate after beating Torino in the city's Serie A derby.
Juventus players celebrate after seeing off Torino in the city's Serie A derby.

Juventus kept pace with Napoli at the top of Serie A with a thumping 4-0 win against 10-man derby rivals Torino.

Paulo Dybala struck twice to take his tally to 10 goals in six league matches.

He opened the scoring before Miralem Pjanic added a fine second to put Juve in total control at half-time after Torino defender Daniele Baselli had been sent off.

Alex Sandro added Juve's third with a bullet header just before the hour-mark and Dybala capped another impressive display with a late fourth as the reigning champions cruised to a seventh successive home league win against their Turin rivals.

It was Juve's sixth-straight league win this season in pursuit of a seventh consecutive Serie A title, but they lie second in the table behind Napoli on goal difference. It was Torino's first league defeat of the season.

Stephan El Shaarawy celebrates his brace.

Stephan El Shaarawy scored twice as Roma continued their fine form with a 3-1 win against Udinese.

The Italy forward scored twice in the first half as Roma made it three straight wins and handed Udinese a third successive defeat.

It took Roma 12 minutes to break the deadlock. Radja Nainggolan lost his footing on the edge of the area but was still able to poke the ball through to Edin Dzeko, who calmly slotted in low to Albano Bizzarri's right for his fifth goal in three games.

Dzeko turned provider on the half-hour mark as his cross from the left was stabbed home from close range by El Shaarawy, who then added a third in farcical circumstances just before half-time.

Diego Perotti's 'rabona' from the right could only pick out Jens Stryger Larsen but the Danish defender hesitated before missing the ball when attempting a back pass and ended up on the floor as El Shaarawy pounced.

Roma missed the chance to make it 4-0 in the 89th minute when Perotti's penalty hit the left-hand post after he went down under Gabriele Angella's challenge.

Stryger Larsen ran through a minute later to score a consolation, the first goal Roma have conceded in four games.

Faouzi Ghoulam fired a late winner as Napoli maintained their 100 percent start to the season with a 3-2 victory at SPAL.

Ghoulam drilled home Napoli's 83rd-minute winner after Federico Viviani's superb second-half free kick appeared to have earned minnows SPAL a surprise draw.

SPAL, promoted to the top-flight for the first time since 1968, took a shock 13th-minute lead through Pasquale Schiattarella's low shot, but the home side's lead was shortlived.

Lorenzo Insigne equalised for Napoli with a low finish a minute later and after spurning a string of second-half chances, Jose Callejon headed the visitors into a 71st-minute lead.

SPAL hit back through Viviani's free kick seven minutes later but left-back Ghoulam lashed home the winner from outside the box to seal Napoli's sixth straight league win.
