Alessandro Costacurta has said Juventus are better than Inter Milan as Italy's two form teams prepare to meet next weekend.
Juve host a resurgent Inter at the Juventus Stadium having won six of their last seven games to pull away from Roma and Napoli at the top of Serie A.
But although the Nerazzurri have performed even better over the same period, with seven wins from seven games, former AC Milan defender Costacurta still believes there is no contest between the two.
"I think Juve are superior in each and every one of the 11 positions on the field, and in terms of their tactics," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"They have never been any closer than they are now, though, with Inter in a position to challenge Juve.
"They have made inroads, but I would not go as far as to say that they are now playing on a par with them."
Inter beat Juve 2-1 in the reverse fixture and a repeat result would allow them to cut the gap to the league leaders to six points, but Juve have a game in hand against struggling Crotone.
Second-placed Roma and Napoli, in third, will also be hoping Inter can do them a favour after both dropped points at the weekend as Juventus won at Suassuolo.
