Dries Mertens helps Napoli cruise to friendly win; Sevilla beat Mainz

Napoli cruised to a 5-0 win over Serie B side Virtus Entella in a friendly on Thursday.

An Alessandro Iacobucci own goal under pressure from Manolo Gabbiadini gifted Napoli the lead.

It stayed 1-0 until shortly after half-time, when Dries Mertens scored twice in a 10-minute span.

Lorenzo Insigne lobbed the keeper to add a fourth goal one minute after Mertens' second, then turned provider for David Lopez to wrap up the scoring.

Cyril Thereau scored a hat trick to help Udinese to a 6-0 win over Feldkirchen in Austria.

Edenilson also scored twice after Gabriele Angella's opener for the Serie A club.

A Goran Pandev brace led Genoa to a 3-0 win at Lucchese with Leonardo Pavoletti also on the scoresheet.

Cagliari defeated Pistoiese 3-0 while fellow newly promoted side Pescara ran out 5-0 winners over San Nicolo.
