On-loan Nathaniel Chalobah hopes to increase the amount of playing time he gets for Napoli as he settles in to life in Serie A after arriving from Chelsea.

England under-21 midfielder Chalobah, with Napoli on a season-long deal, came on as a substitute in the Europa League win at Legia Warsaw but has yet to feature in domestic league action.

But with Napoli enjoying a strong spell of form, he acknowledged that it would be tough for coach Maurizio Sarri to change things.

"We've been winning a lot of games and getting good results so the manager has been sticking with the team, but it's great to be a part of it," he told the FA's official website.

"Experience-wise, it's been good for me to see how they play their football, the culture, the lifestyle and everything else.

"I've enjoyed it so far and I'm just hoping to get more game time, but at the minute the team is doing really well and I've got to be patient."

Chalobah said he was beginning to get to grips with speaking Italian, adding: "I've started lessons and I'm getting it slowly but surely.

"Speaking to people helps, the lads try and speak Italian to me. Learning a language is something you can keep for life, and learning as you live in a country can only help that.

"It is a beautiful city and a nice, historic place. The people are really passionate about their football, real fanatics and they love Napoli, their city and their football team.

"I've seen that from when I've just been out for a walk and people were stopping me for photos -- and I've not even really played a game for them yet."

Meanwhile, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has criticised the city council and accused them of stalling on an agreement over the use of the Stadio San Paolo.

"I don't get the feeling that this city, from an institutional point of view, is on Napoli's side," Il Corriere dello Sport quoted him as saying.

"You can be opposed to De Laurentiis for all you like, but you cannot be opposed to Napoli, otherwise you may as well just come out and say I'm not interested because I'm an Inter Milan fan."

De Laurentiis wants to renovate the stadium but the current agreement with the city council, which owns it, has expired.

In the past, he has threatened to take the club away from the city by building a new stadium elsewhere.
