Francesco Totti helps Roma hold Lazio, Juve win to go three points clear

Roma's legendary captain Francesco Totti scored twice to haul the club back to a 2-2 draw in the derby with Lazio.

Totti saw his side go down 2-0 to goals from Stefano Mauri and in-form Felipe Anderson in a dominant first-half display from Lazio but hit back in the second half to claim a draw and even celebrated one of his efforts with a 'selfie'.

The point was not enough to move Roma to the top of the table, but they maintain their nine-point cushion over Lazio.

Juventus beat Napoli at Stadio San Paolo for the first time in 15 years to pull three points clear at the top of Serie A.

Paul Pogba's fantastic volley lit the touchpaper at a ground where reigning champions Juve have managed to lose five times since last tasting victory back in September 2000.

Defender Miguel Britos tried to prolong the visitors' poor run in Naples by equalising midway through the second half, but Martin Caceres hit back before Arturo Vidal confirmed Juve's 3-1 win with a thunderous stoppage-time goal.

Argentinian duo Rodrigo Palacio and Mauro Icardi were on target as Inter Milan inflicted a 3-1 defeat on Genoa at the San Siro.

Palacio opened the scoring in the 12th minute and Icardi added a second before the break.

Genoa's Maxime Lestienne was denied by the bar in the 62nd minute but Armando Izzo gave the visitors a lifeline in the 85th minute. However, Nemanja Vidic restored the two-goal lead two minutes from time as Inter clinched their sixth win of the campaign.

The Nerazzurri, who had won just one of their previous eight league games, have climbed to ninth place, two points adrift of Genoa. The defeat was Genoa's fifth of the campaign and extended their winless run to four league games.

Fiorentina resisted a spirited fightback from Palermo to secure a frenetic 4-3 victory at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

It looked like Palermo were there for the taking after captain Manuel Pasqual's goal gave dominant Fiorentina the lead heading into half-time.

Jose Maria Basanta nudged the Tuscans further ahead following the restart but Palermo suddenly sprang to life and restored parity through a smash-and-grab brace from substitute Robin Quaison.

Juan Cuadrado then scored to quell the visitors' celebrations and Joaquin added a goal of real quality to earn Fiorentina all three points, even though Palermo had time to grab a third thanks to Andrea Belotti and his penalty.

The victory lifts Vincenzo Montella's men above Genoa and into sixth place while Palermo slip to 10th.

Hellas Verona beat Parma 3-1 to clinch their first win at home since October 4.

Jacopo Sala put the hosts ahead in the 39th minute before Parma's Francesco Lodi levelled with a free-kick in the 63rd minute.

Luca Toni gave Hellas the lead again nine minutes later and substitute Mattia Valoti sealed the win in injury time.

A single second-half goal from Eder was enough to boost Sampdoria to a 1-0 victory over Empoli at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The Brazilian striker broke the deadlock shortly after half-time and while 15th-placed Empoli did well to resist conceding another goal, they were toothless in attack and left the Marassi empty-handed.

Cagliari finally won at home this season and gave Gianfranco Zola his first win as their coach with a 2-1 triumph over bottom side Cesena.

Joao Pedro and Godfred Donsah struck in the first half for the Sardinian outfit. Cesena's Franco Brienza reduced the arrears one minute from the end but the home side held on for their third victory of the season.

The outcome at the Sant' Elia stadium has allowed 18th-place Cagliari to close the gap to just two points on Atalanta, who hold the last position of safety.

A late goal from Chievo substitute Dejan Lazarevic denied Atalanta victory as it finished in a 1-1 draw in Bergamo.

Davide Zappacosta gave Atalanta the lead in the 72nd minute. Atalanta lost Gianpaolo Bellini to a second yellow card in the 89th minute when the Italian defender brought down Chievo's Sergio Pellissier just outside the area.

Chievo made Atalanta pay with Lazarevic scoring with the resulting free-kick to earn a valuable Serie A point in their battle to avoid the drop.
