Milan derby drawn as Cagliari fight back to claim point at Napoli in Serie A

Roberto Mancini drew his first game as Inter Milan coach on Sunday night, with Joel Obi's equaliser earning a 1-1 result against AC Milan.

Jeremy Menez put the Rossoneri ahead against the run of play early in the first half, but Obi's leveller came when the hosts were in the ascendency.

In the end, the Derby della Madonnina ended in a deserved draw, although a point did little to help either sideas they continue to lag behind their expectations this season, and behind the top six in Serie A.

Cagliari twice came from behind to register an impressive 3-3 draw against Napoli in what was a thrilling end-to-end encounter at the San Paolo.

Napoli went two goals up through Gonzalo Higuain and a terrific long range Gokhan Inler effort before Cagliari levelled either side of the break, through Victor Ibarbo and then Diego Farias.

Jonathan de Guzman gave Napoli the lead once again before Farias brought his side back to 3-3.

An own goal by substitute Constantin Nica handed Sampdoria a 1-1 draw at Cesena.

The hosts were on course for their first win since August 31 after Stefano Lucchini scored on the hour against his former club. But with 13 minutes remaining, Nica deflected Citadin Eder's cross into his own net to pull Samp level.

Both teams had a chance to win the game late with Cesena's Emmanuel Cascione's effort hitting the crossbar and Samp substitute Gianluca Sansone's bullet strike rebounding off the post.

The outcome at the Dino Manuzzi stadium has left Samp in fourth place, one point adrift of third-place Napoli.

Fiorentina snapped a two-game losing streak with a 2-1 triumph at Hellas Verona.

Hellas Verona's Nico Lopez cancelled out Gonzalo Rodriguez's opener in the 39th minute before Juan Guillermo Cuadrado fired home the winner in the 62nd minute.

Fiorentina's second away win of the season has lifted them to 10th in Serie A, two places and two points clear of Hellas. The Verona outfit have now not won for six games.

Udinese captain Antonio Di Natale scored his 200th Serie A goal but the Friuli outfit had to settle for a point at home to Chievo after playing out a 1-1 draw.

Searching for their first win in four games, the hosts went ahead when Di Natale scored on the stroke of half-time. Ivan Radovanovic equalised for Chievo in the 74th minute with a stinging drive from 25 yards that defeated Udinese goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis.

Udinese have climbed to seventh place while Chievo remain 18th, just one point adrift of safety.

Substitute Antonio Floro Flores scored three minutes from time to hand Sassuolo a 1-0 victory at Torino which extended their unbeaten run to six games.

Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli saved a first-half penalty from Juan Sanchez Mino to keep the scores level .

With the game in Turin looking to be destined for a draw, Flores headed a Sime Vrsaljko corner kick into the net to hand his team a valuable three points in their third win of the campaign.

Empoli clinched three vital points with a 2-0 win at Parma to pile more misery on the Gialloblu.

The Tuscan outfit went ahead with Matias Vecino's strike on the stroke of half-time and he set up Francesco Tavano to double the advantage after the restart.

The 2-0 win at the Tardini stadium was Empoli's first on the road this season and their third overall since gaining promotion to Italy's top flight earlier this year.

Last-place Parma have just six points from 12 games and their 11th loss has left them four points adrift of safety.
