Serie A club Udinese have announced that Francesco Guidolin has left his role as coach and will into a new all-encompassing position. #INSERT type:image caption:Guidolin will move upstairs END# Guidolin, who took charge of the club in 2010, will become the technical supervisor for the club's owner Giampaolo Pozzi, who is also owner of Spanish club Granada and Championship outfit Watford. "From next year, Guidolin will no longer coach Udinese," said the club's director of sport Cristiano Giaretta at a news conference on Tuesday. "I met with the coach this morning and he is sticking to the position he took a month ago. He will now take on a technical supervisor role, overseeing all three of the Pozzo family's clubs. Good luck to him." Guidolin, who also participated in the news conference, said he had no regrets about leaving a position he has held for four successful years. Udinese qualified for the Europa League three times under his guidance, missing out on a berth in the Champions League on two occasions by losing playoff matches with Arsenal and Sporting Braga. "This is a beautiful day for me because it means I won't be coaching anymore, but I can still stay here," he said. "This is the start of a new adventure and I'm curious to see how it will go."
