Kaka delighted to reach Milan century

Kaka scored his 100th and 101st goals for AC Milan as they beat Atalanta 3-0 on Monday and said he felt he had started 2014 in "the best way."

The Brazilian midfielder told a news conference that reaching the landmark was something he had been waiting for "for so many games."

He added: "I'm delighted to be part of the history of this club. Every single goal is an emotion.

"It was an incredible emotion today -- the best way to start 2014. Right now, I'd set my aim on scoring 200, but let's think first of 110 and 120. I want to be an example for anybody who gets to wear this shirt."

Meanwhile, Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino said he hoped the win was a sign of things to come for the Rossoneri after a difficult final four months of 2013.

"We're in a league position which is not worthy of Milan, and we need to get a move on after a bad start to the season," Nocerino told Milan Channel.

The victory lifted Milan to within 10 points of the top five, even though they remain 17 points adrift of a place in the Champions League.

"I think the year has started in the best way possible, and a new season starts here," Nocerino added. "We need to do the best we can to take Milan where they belong."
