Allan fined for clash with coach

Udinese's Allan is to be fined by his club after a training-ground clash with coach Francesco Guidolin which left the midfielder in tears.

Allan did not take kindly to criticism from Guidolin for a misplaced pass during training and he approached his coach seeking an explanation, according to La Repubblica.

Guidolin in turn pushed the player away, telling him to "think about playing" while his teammates pulled Allan away from the coach to prevent an escalation of the incident which comes as the Bianconeri prepare to bounce back from a crushing home defeat to Inter Milan when they face Catania at the weekend.

Allan left the training field in tears and later apologised to Guidolin and the team, a shake of hands bringing the issue to an end.

The Brazilian will be fined for his conduct, but Guidolin is still set to include him in his squad for the trip to Sicily.

"It's finished there," said the club's director of sport Cristiano Giaretta to the Gazzetta dello Sport. "Logically, though, the club cannot pretend nothing has happened so Allan will be fined."

Defeat to Inter last weekend has left Udinese on 13 points from 11 games, just four above the bottom three and nine adrift of the top five. That was already Udinese's second home defeat of the campaign having previously seen a 22-game unbeaten run at the Stadio Friuli, which had lasted 420 days, brought to an end by Roma.
