Pogba turned down big clubs for Juve

Paul Pogba has revealed he turned down offers from Chelsea, AC Milan and Arsenal in favour of joining Juventus last year.

Pogba has greatly impressed since joining Juventus from Manchester United last summer
Pogba has proved successful at Juve.

Pogba, a product of Manchester United's youth academy, moved to Juve last summer and  has emerged as a key member of Antonio Conte's midfield.

Although he was only able to make three first team appearances at Old Trafford, the 20-year-old insists Sir Alex Ferguson was eager to keep hold of him, but it appears there was little in the way of Pogba's switch to Italy.

"Sir Alex Ferguson tried to keep me at Manchester United, but he didn't get very far," he told Sky Sport Italia. "Other clubs were tracking me but I only had Juve in my mind. At the time, I heard from Chelsea, Arsenal and Milan, but nobody is like Juve."

Pogba has won the Supercoppa Italia and Serie A since being signed by the Bianconeri and he admits the history of fellow Frenchmen to have played at Juve, including Michel Platini, Didier Deschamps and Zinedine Zidane, spurred his decision.

"Since childhood I've always liked Juve and supported that team," he added. "For the French this club means a great deal, as so many French champions played in Turin, so that's why I liked them. I am happy to be here and I want to win many trophies with this jersey."
