Lazio complete move for Biglia

Lazio have formally completed the signing of midfielder Lucas Biglia from Anderlecht on a five-year contract.

Biglia, 27, has spent the last seven years at the Belgian club, racking up a total of 204 appearances and playing in both the Champions League and the Europa League.

The Argentine attracted interest from a host of top European clubs during that time, but a series of injuries, including a shoulder problem that forced him to miss half the 2011-12 season, meant a move never materialised.

Speaking after his arrival in Italy, he told the Lazio Style Channel: "I'm really happy.

"I'd like to thank Lazio for bringing me to Italy and for giving me this opportunity."

Biglia is Lazio’s fourth signing this summer, with his arrival following those of Felipe Anderson, Vinicius and Diego Novaretti.
