El Shaarawy keen to welcome Kaka

AC Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy has said it “would d be a dream” to play alongside either Kaka or Mario Balotelli as talk linking Milan with moves for those players continues.

Kaka, Real Madrid captain for the night, celebrates his goal in the 4-1 win over Ajax
Kaka has been linked with a return to Milan

El Shaarawy, 20, has enjoyed a blistering first half of the season, scoring 14 league goals.

And although Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has poured cold water on suggestions that either former Milan star Kaka or Balotelli will be coming to the San Siro, the striker has said he would love to link up with them.

In an interview with Forza Milan magazine earlier this week, he said: “My idol growing up was Kaka - no doubt about it.

“It would be a dream to play with Kaka. I would welcome him with open arms, and maybe it can happen, but even with Mario I would feel good.”

With the sale of Ignazio Abate to Zenit St Petersburg closer to completion and the departure of Robinho seeming likely to follow that of Alexandre Pato, Milan appear to have both the funds and the need to sign a striker before the transfer window closes.

They had a loan offer for Kaka rejected by Madrid earlier this week, but are reported to want Manchster City to lower their €37 million asking price for Balotelli
