Napoli more motivated to peform in Serie A than Champions League - Sarri

Napoli remain unbeaten in Serie A after settling for a draw against Inter on Saturday.

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri admitted his side are more motivated in Serie A than in the Champions League after his side "dropped two points" in Saturday's top-of-the-table draw with Inter Milan.

Sarri's men had the better of the chances to find a winner and saw their 100 percent record came to start the Serie A season came to an end as they failed to win in the league for the first time since April.

They're still unbeaten in the league, but Napoli have already suffered two defeats in Europe...

Napoli's perfect run in Serie A ends in goalless draw with Inter

Samir Handanovic and Pepe Reina stood tall as Inter and Napoli both remained unbeaten.

Napoli saw their perfect start to the season ended, but they remain top of Serie A after holding second-place Inter Milan to a goalless draw on Saturday.

The Partenopei had won all eight of the league games so far season, and 13 straight dating back to last season, but they could not take their chances against Inter.

Giannis Anestis of AEK Athens denied AC Milan several times in the second half with some brilliant saves.

AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella has appealed to the club's fans for support after a 0-0 Europa League draw against AEK Athens on Thursday.

Milan were whistled off the San Siro pitch as the club topped a run of three straight Serie A losses with another disappointing result in Europe.

Italian player gets five-game ban for allegedly urinating towards crowd

TORRE DEL GRECO, Italy -- A footballer in Italy's fourth tier has been suspended for five matches for urinating towards opposition fans.

Giovanni Liberti of Turris received the lengthy ban. During a stoppage in play in a 3-3 draw against Sarnese, Liberti "urinated in the direction of the away section, making obscene and vulgar gestures, while showing his genital organ," says the Serie D disciplinary body.
