Mediapro reassures Serie A clubs over TV rights amid legal standoff

Juventus' shock draw against Crotone opens up the door for Napoli in the Serie A title race. Gab Marcotti and the FC boys recap it all.

Mediapro has reassured Serie A clubs that there is nothing to fear about its acquisition of the 2018-21 TV rights after Sky Italia obtained an injunction on their sale to the Spanish group.

Sky, which currently shares the majority of the rights with Mediaset, wants the Tribunal of Milan to investigate Mediapro's €1 billion rights purchase in February.

It means Mediapro's attempts to sell the rights on in different packages has been suspended until the tribunal reaches a conclusion, which will...

A bicycle kick is called a rovesciata in Italian. Taken literally it can mean reversed. After all, you're scoring with your back to goal. But the best way to look at it is upside down. The bicycle kick Simy scored to get relegation battling Crotone a point against Juventus on Wednesday night did exactly that to Serie A. It turned a title race many considered completely over on its head.

Juventus started the night six points clear of Napoli. Twice, over the course of a remarkable evening, they...

The ESPN FC panel answer your tweets on Paul Pogba's future at Manchester United and the argument for sacking Ernesto Valverde.
Jose Mourinho was asked to rate Paul Pogba and respond to Paul Scholes' scathing criticism of the Frenchman after the West Brom match.
The ESPN FC guys debate whether Alvaro Morata is overrated or just a bad fit for Chelsea.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta told Mediaset his club cannot afford to buy back Paul Pogba or Alvaro Morata but said "there are also exceptions."

Pogba is reportedly unsettled at Manchester United and Morata has not had the expected impact since joining Chelsea during the summer.

Both are highly regarded in Turin and would be welcomed back with open arms, although Marotta said their price tags are likely beyond his club's budget.

"I don't really believe in players coming back after having...

Massimiliano Allegri switched the focus to Juventus' top-of-the-table clash with Napoli after the leaders were held to a 1-1 draw by Crotone on Wednesday.

Juve started brightly, with Alex Sandro opening the scoring after 17 minutes but they were pegged back in the 65th minute as Simy's overhead kick drew the hosts level.

And Napoli's 4-2 victory over Udinese saw Juve's advantage at the top of Serie A cut to four points.

Juventus' shock draw against Crotone opens up the door for Napoli in the Serie A title race. Gab Marcotti and the FC boys recap it all.

Displaying a poor attitude and little to no ambition, Juventus dropped two points on Wednesday -- managing only a 1-1 draw against Crotone and opening a slender chance for Napoli to capture the Serie A title.

Crotone were not a side to be underestimated. This season they have managed to defeat Fiorentina, earn a point against Inter, and convincingly thrash Sampdoria. Against Juventus, they refused to roll over.

Juve, by contrast, did not seem motivated to grind out a result. Players were clearly...
