Diego Lopez explains that Fernando Torres will be more useful to AC Milan than Mario Balotelli - naturally, the ESPN FC crew debate Lopez's stance.

Fernando Torres' Chelsea career is officially over after the Premier League leaders announced he will make his loan move to AC Milan permanent next month.

Torres, 30, won the Champions League, the Europa League and the FA Cup in three-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge, but he never lived up to expectations after a 50 million-pound transfer from Liverpool, failing to replicate his once-prolific scoring record in London.

Mancini said during the week that he would be interested in a deal, but that any move would be up to the 24-year-old.

Rodgers admitted on Dec. 24 that...

Gianfranco Zola ready for 'tricky gamble' in Cagliari hot seat

Zola returns to top-flight club management for the first time since leaving West Ham.

Gianfranco Zola says he is relishing the chance to save his former club from relegation after being appointed coach of Cagliari.

Zola makes a return to his Sardinian roots -- to the club where he started and finished his playing career -- almost a decade after he ended his playing career by leading the club up to Serie A and keeping them in the top flight.

The 48-year-old's new task is an equally challenging one, and he is eagerly looking forward to getting to work back with the Rossoblu .
