Roma-Juventus match protests from ultras detracts from Serie A clash

While ESPN FC's Stevie Nicol says that next week's match-up between Juventus and Roma can go either way, Craig Burley thinks that last year's Champions League finalist need a formidable challenge in Serie A.

Roma are not one of Serie A's traditional powerhouses. The league's base of operations is, both literally and figuratively, up north, where the big three of Juventus, AC MIlan and Inter play. Despite having the fanbase, the money, one of the game's iconic No. 10s in Francesco Totti and one of the world's most famous capital cities as home, Roma have spent the majority...

Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has reacted angrily to low bids for his players.

Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has warned rival clubs keen on snapping up his club's best players that they are not a "discount supermarket."

AC Milan failed in their bid to sign Roberto Soriano for less than the €10 million release clause he has in his contract, while it was reported on Thursday that Inter Milan had made a bid for Italy international Eder.

Both bids have been rejected by Sampdoria, and Ferrero declared via Twitter that his club does not sell on the cheap.

He wrote: "So...

Ivan Perisic set to complete move to Inter Milan from Wolfsburg

ESPN FC's Gabriele Marcotti doubts that Inter Milan will be able to secure the funds necessary to do anything other than loan Erik Lamela from Tottenham Hotspur, which may not be enough to satisfy the English side.
Get up to speed with all the key facts and figures ahead of the opening weekend in Italy with five things you need to know.

Inter Milan hope to wrap up the signing of Ivan Perisic on Friday after the player was left out of the Wolfsburg squad for the Bundesliga clash with Schalke.

The clubs are reported to have moved closer to an agreement, despite Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs suggesting that Inter would not be able to afford the 26-year-old.
