AC Milan's midfield problems highlighted in narrow Empoli win

Goals from Carlos Bacca, second from left, and Luiz Adriano, far right, helped AC Milan sneak past Empoli on Saturday.

AC Milan picked up their first points of the season on Saturday night as they narrowly defeated Empoli 2-1 at the San Siro. While Sinisa Mihajlovic will be relieved to get his first points on the board, it was a far from convincing display from the Rossoneri.

The Serbian tactician made some surprise selection choices with the inclusion of Antonio Nocerino and Suso in the starting lineup. Ultimately, however, the move ended up backfiring on him.

Both midfielders were eventually withdrawn -- with...

Sinisa Mihajlovic furious with AC Milan players despite his side's first victory

Sinisa Mihajlovic was not happy at all after AC Milan's win over Empoli on Saturday.

AC Milan manager Sinisa Mihajlovic was livid and said his side "did not deserve to win" after Saturday's 2-1 victory over Empoli.

Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano provided the goals as Milan claimed their first win of the season, but the result did little to placate Mihajlovic after the game.

"We did not deserve to win," Mihajlovic told reporters. "Nothing has changed from last season. There was too much fear."

Mihajlovic took over afer Milan's finished 10th under Filippo Inzaghi last season.

Carlos Bacca celebrates with his teammates after scoring the opening goal for AC Milan on Saturday.

Mario Balotelli watched on as goals from fellow forwards Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano earned AC Milan their first win of the new Serie A season -- 2-1 against Empoli.

Italy international Balotelli rejoined the Rossoneri on a season-long loan from Liverpool this week but was an unused substitute as the home side scraped an unconvincing victory.

After a scrappy start, Milan opened the scoring in the 16th minute when a defence-splitting pass from Adriano set Bacca away.

What looked to be a heavy touch...

Antonio Floro Flores snatched a late winner for Sassuolo as they beat Bologna 1-0 at Stadio Dall-Ara.

An open game had been heading towards a goalless draw before Karim Laribi broke with the ball in the 86th minute and his mis-hit shot rebounded into the path of Floro Flores.

The substitute made no mistake, finishing confidently from inside the area for his second in as many games this season.

The visitors had the better chances early on, with Nicola Sansone shooting wide. Franco Brienza saw a fine...

Juventus confirm Kingsley Coman to leave amid Bayern Munich links

ESPN FC's Raf Honigstein believes Juventus are merely testing the waters for Paul Pogba and not seriously considering offers this transfer window.
While ESPN FC's Stevie Nicol says that next week's match-up between Juventus and Roma can go either way, Craig Burley thinks that last year's Champions League finalist need a formidable challenge in Serie A.

Kingsley Coman appears set to join Bayern Munich after Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri confirmed he is set to leave.

France under-21 international Coman, 19, joined Juve from Paris Saint-Germain last summer but is now set for a move to the Allianz Arena.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Saturday that Coman, whose Juve contract runs until 2019, was set to join Bayern on a loan deal with an option to purchase the player for €25 million.

Speaking at a news conference on Saturday, Juve boss...
