Jeremy Menez happy at AC Milan and says fans deserve European football

French forward Menez has scored 15 goals and set up another four in 28 Serie A appearances this season.

Jeremy Menez admits he is not pleased with the way AC Milan's season is going, but insists he is still happy at the Serie A club.

Menez, 27, arrived at the Rossoneri from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and, under the guidance of Filippo Inzaghi, the preseason expectations were high.

After missing out on a place in Europe for the first time in 16 years, Milan were bidding to bounce back, but things have not gone according to plan in spite of the Frenchman's 15 goals.

Gokhan Inler: I've never thought about wanting to leave Napoli

Fiorentina take Ukrainian leaders Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League quarterfinals, as Sevilla play against Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Napoli midfielder Gokhan Inler has dismissed suggestions he wants to leave the Serie A club, saying the thought has never crossed his mind.

Inler, 30, has started only 13 of his side's 28 Serie A games this season and it had been suggested that he may have fallen out of favour with coach Rafael Benitez.

The Switzerland international, however, insisted he is happy at Napoli during in an interview with bluewin.ch.

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has been ruled out for between six and eight months after tearing anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) while training with Italy.

Marchisio has returned to the Turin club after undergoing an MRI scan on Friday, and is likely to undergo surgery imminently.

The news comes as another setback to Juventus, who are without Paul Pogba for two months and are awaiting Andrea Pirlo's comeback from injury.

Players banned for total of 59 games after mass tunnel brawl in Italy

Suspensions totalling 59 games have been handed out after a half-time brawl in the tunnel at an Italian amateur league game left a player with fractured ribs.

Fighting between Vittoria and Paterno players broke out in the tunnel and was captured by closed circuit television cameras.

Footage of the brawl has been published by the local Corriere di Ragusa newspaper and tweeted by Gazzetta dello Sport.

Italian FA changes rules in attempt to avoid repeat of Parma bankruptcy

Alessandro Lucarelli says that the Parma team will pay the coach and hotel for the away game against Genoa as computers are removed from the training centre in Parma, Italy.

The Italian Football Association (FIGC) has toughened licensing rules in an attempt to avoid a repeat of the bankruptcy of Serie A club Parma.

Parma were declared bankrupt last week amid growing debts and a failure to pay wages or taxes since last July.

UEFA refused to give the club a licence to appear in the Europa League this season, but they managed to obtain the required permit to participate in Serie A.
