Genoa battle back to beat Lecce in Coppa Italia; Palermo squeak by Bari

Genoa recovered from 2-1 down to book their place in the fourth round of the Coppa Italia with a 3-2 win at home to Lecce.

Portuguese midfielder Miguel Veloso gave the Serie A side a 47th-minute lead but their Lega Pro opponents stormed back with goals from Franco Lepore and Giuseppe Torromino.

Macedonian forward Goran Pandev brought Genoa level after 70 minutes and Leonardo Pavoletti netted the winner with seven minutes to go.

Bologna progressed with a 2-0 win over Trapani as Ladislav Krejci and Saphir Taider were on target either side of the break.

Palermo squeezed past Serie B side Bari in the third tie of the night, with Bulgarian midfielder Ivaylo Chochev scoring the only goal in Sicily in the second minute of time added on at the end of extra-time.
