Inter Milan's Champions League squad restricted due to FFP restrictions

Roberto Gagliardini, Dalbert and Joao Mario have all been left out of Inter Milan's Champions League squad as the Serie A club still face financial fair play restrictions.

The Nerazzurri have a limit of 21 players in their squad due to previous FFP sanctions and have therefore been forced to leave out several key players for their group games against Tottenham, Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven.

The usual limit for players on the 'A' list is 25.

Gagliardini, 24, will therefore have to wait before being able to make his European debut, although he was only substitute for Inter's first two Serie A games of the season and may find his opportunities limited this season following the arrival of Radja Nainggolan.

Joao Mario is considered surplus to requirements and spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United, although Inter could not find a buyer for him this summer.

Dalbert, meanwhile, started Inter's first game of the season, but was replaced at half-time and only came on for the final 25 minutes if their 2-2 draw with Torino. He was an unused substitute last weekend.

Inter coach Luciano Spalletti has named four goalkeepers in his squad, with Tommaso Berni and Raffaele Di Gennaro -- who figures on their 'B' list -- joining Samir Handanovic and Daniele Padelli.

The Italian side start their Champions League campaign at home to Tottenham on Sept. 18.
